Refractoy mortar for Copper Producers
Taurus Refractoy mortar manufactures a complete line of rRefractoy mortar for use in copper production. Refractory mortar products are offered in a range of brick and castable formulations that can withstand high temperatures and the adverse effects of slag. They meet the stringent demands of primary smelting, anode and secondary copper furnaces. Products for copper converters are also available.
In primary smelting vessels, direct-bonded chrome-magnesite refractory mortar such as NARMAG HNF 27 and NARMAG HNF 31 are used. Anode furnaces require low porosity, low silica refractory mortar. Top Blown Rotary
Converter  smelters require high purity, high strength, fused-grain refractory mortar such as NARMAG FG. In these furnaces, alumina-chrome monolithic refractory mortar such as phosphate-bonded JADEPAK 88P or other castables are used for areas that are difficult to brick.
