Alkaline refractoriy’s major components are magnesium Oxide and calcium oxide.Main productions have Magnesia brick, magnesia chrome brick, magnesia zirconia brick, magnesia brick, magnesia spinel brick, magnesia calcium brick, dolomite brick and the latest development of magnesia spinel brick and so on.
Refractory brick containing more than 80%MgO is called magnesite brick,which can be divided into many grades according to indexs. Magnesite brick has better performance of anti iron slag and alkaline slag.Its refractoriness is higher than clay brick and silica brick and main used to oxygen converter furnace, open hearth furnace, electric furnace for smelting non ferrous melt and high temperature device. Magnesia-chromite brickhas stronger anti slag performance than magnesite brick and more than stability .so far it nearly replaces magnesite brick applying to widely rangs of steel smelting industry and on ferrous industry. For Cr2O3 in the magnesia-chromite brickis going on spreading ,The magnesium chromium brick can be easily adhered to the kiln skin.In recent 30 years, it always is elected to primary refractory for firing of cement kiln. So in the last 30 years, has been the first choice for cement kiln burned with refractory materials, magnesium chrome bricks in the case of Cr2O3 after the reaction occurs, trivalent chromium into a carcinogenic six chromium, will cause pollution of water.so it Is facing the gradual withdrawal of the cement industry market trends.Magnesia and magnesia alumina brick using alumina as raw materials, a magnesia brick compared to thermal shock resistance and high temperature creep performance, use parts and magnesia brick is almost the same.Dolomite brick and magnesia calcium brick performance is almost the same, dolomite brick using dolomite as raw material, calcium magnesium brick with synthetic calcium magnesium sand as raw materials, calcium oxide.Magnesia spinel brick is a kind of new products, mainly for the zone and transition zone of cement rotary kiln, will be the main products of the cement industry to replace magnesia chrome brick.

Their melting point is 2000~3887 degrees C, which is the most difficult to melt the carbide.
