Production Process of Refractory
According to the degree of compactness and appearance of different products, there are sintering method, casting method and melt blowing method. Sintering method is to calcine part of the raw materials into clinker, crushing and screening, and then press a certain ratio and raw materials mixed, after forming, drying and firing. The purpose of raw material calcination is to remove the water, organic impurities and sulphate decomposed gases, so as to reduce the sintering shrinkage of products and ensure the accuracy of product appearance size. The raw material also needs to be screened after crushing and grinding because the billet is graded by powder of different particle sizes to ensure the closest packing and obtain a compact body.
In order to make a variety of raw materials and clinker ingredients and uniform particles, to be mixed, while adding binder, in order to enhance the billet bond strength. Such as aluminum silicate billet joined the clay, magnesia billets added sulfurous acid pulp waste, siliceous billets added to milk and so on. According to the amount of water content of blank, semi-dry molding (about 5% moisture), plastic molding (about 15% moisture) and casting method (about 40% moisture) can be used. Then dried and fired. Casting method is the ingredients through mixing ingredients and fine grinding and other processes, melting at high temperatures, direct casting, cooling and crystallization, annealing products. Such as melting mullite brick, corundum brick and magnesia brick. Their compact body, high mechanical strength, high temperature structural strength, slag resistance is good, the scope of use continues to expand. Melt blowing method is to melt the ingredients, the high pressure air or superheated steam injection, so that the dispersion into fibers or hollow ball method. Products are mainly used as lightweight refractory, thermal insulation materials. In addition, it can also be made into powdery or granular amorphous refractories, which are cemented with binders such as tar, asphalt, cement, phosphate, sulphate or chloride when they are used. They are used without molding and sintering.
